January 2008

Jess Paul successfully defended her M.S. thesis in January.  She is now working at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia as a scientific patent examiner.  Congratulations Jess!

 

Fall 2007

Julianna Cebollero was named an American Chemical Society Scholar.  She is one of approximately 150 students chosen nationwide to receive this honor and will receive $5,000.  The Scholars program is designed to encourage African-American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian students to pursue degrees in the chemical sciences and chemical technology.  Way to go Julianna!

 

June 2007

Ali Bausch, Glenn Rowland and Dr. Grannas just returned from Barrow, Alaska.  This trip involved preliminary sampling of local waters as well as site selection for next year's fieldwork study sites and sampling locations. Click here for pictures.

 

May 2007

Ashley Sprenkle successfully defended her M.S. thesis in May.  She is now working at GlaxoSmithKline as a Research Scientist.  Congratulations Ash!

Rebecca Chappel graduated with her B.S. in chemistry in May.  She was a member of the chemistry honor society and is now working at Dupont.  Congratulations Becky!

Jessica Paul will be giving a talk at the upcoming ACS conference in Boston in August.  She was awarded a Villanova Graduate School travel grant for this trip.  Congratulations Jess!
